What we do

Lindsay qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983, having trained in the largest independent practice in the South West. She gained post qualification experience at two practices before becoming a partner in a local firm in the mid nineties.

In 1997, she established her own practice, Lindsay Beckman and Co specialising in personal tax clients and local sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

Lindsay Beckman and Co Limited was formed in 2002 to deal with the trading clients, leaving the original practice to specialise mainly in taxation matters.

Both businesses continue to run alongside each other offering a full range of services to the local community. We pride ourselves in providing a personal service tailored to meet each individuals needs and are able to supply specialist advice in a number of areas such as VAT, tax planning, capital gains tax and trust tax work as well as the more usual accounts and tax return preparation work which you would expect.

Rachel joined the new practice in 1997 and initially worked part time. As the practice grew and the needs of the clients grew with it, she started specialising in bookkeeping, wages and VAT work. She now works full time maintaining clients books and records, preparing VAT returns, trading statements and accounts and is in charge of all things wage- related including the new RTI filing requirements.
